I oppose the sub categories under Asian Americans - it is UNCONSTITUTIONAL and racially discriminatory, and I refuse to disclose any information relating to my original ethnic background. I urge you to remove this section and label it Asian American as you do to the other racial categories.

我直接写在选项下面: prefer not to provide racial information。further division of asians is unnecessary and unconstitutional, unless the rationales of such division are clearly provided.
In all your official forms, I urge the Bureau to STOP using the race category regarding the Asian-country origin. It is UNCONSTITUTIONAL. Please remove Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese, and other sub-Asian check boxes, and replace them with a generic Asian/Asian American checkbox, to ENSURE that Asian Americans are treated equally as other races.

I urge the Bureau to change the format of the race question by removing Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese, and other sub-Asian check boxes, and replacing them with a generic Asian/Asian American checkbox. This is the least you can do to ensure that Asian Americans are treated equally as white and black Americans.
It is really concerning as the Bureau is sub-categorizing such a small group into so many sub sections. What is the purpose? I don't understand why would the Asian community be the target of separation. Because, we are the "model minority"? So are we being punished for being law abiding citizens that seldom complaints or protest? Are we the new Jews?
What would the Bureau use with such detail data? Is that being used to work against my children? They were born and raised in the United States of America. They were purely 100% made in America. Currently, the Asian decent children are being punished when they apply for higher education admission because of the color of their skin. Being Asian decent is not a sin. To further divide a already small community really worried our community.
We are not asking for special treatment. We are asking to be treated fairly.
