我刚跨出大门,老公穿着他在一家大型超市上夜班的保安制服,开着他的小卡车在我面前“哧”地一声刹住。今晚六点,他得去那超市上班。
“Get in, my little rabbit.”(上车吧,我的小兔子。)他从昨天开始把我的人性动物化了。
于是,移民局对整个唐人街来了个突袭,把夜总会的姑娘们以及其他没身份的中国人全都抓去。姑娘们的苦难终于熬到了头,但面临着被遣返回国,多年之内不许踏上这片土地。
那家夜总会老板因雇佣非法移民仅仅被罚了些款,没过多久,他的夜总会又重新开张,生意依然红红火火,蒸蒸日上。
尝尽了辛酸的萍小妹,登上了飞往祖国的航班,对这人间炼狱般的美国,挥手说: “拜拜,我曾经梦中的天堂。”
我听到过有一个天津的女的,有相似的故事。好像没这么惨。

Thank you for your appreciation. I just wrote something happened to me almost 20 years ago. At that time, a lot of Chinese people were struggling to stay in America. Not like nowadays, China has changed a lot. Chinese people are more powerful and are treated much better because their financial status has improved to a much better level. Therefore, money shows power.
