Timing the end of Losar to upload is good.
His Holiness the Dalai Lama shows up for many temple engagements, and walks and meets hundreds as he is helped through the crowds today. I watch on his FB page for hours...
Compassion and Wisdom in understanding of Impermanence.
I have been in His Holiness' presence 3 times, read a few of his books and was friends of Nechung Rempoche at Nechung Dra Yang Ling at Wood Valley HI.
What did I learn? Life is magical, and everything in the world (good/or bad in our minds) was initially created from some sort of love. Hence, desire, and Buddhahood, or the Bodisattva journey begins.
Truly a beautiful story about a beautiful gift we all may allow to enter into our hearts if a journey of exploring spirituality is in your mind. What is the line he says at the border? ‘I think I am a reflection, like the moon, when you look upon me to see yourself” (I need to go back and listen to that several more times) - in any case this totality of what I know of the Dalai Lama does indeed touch my heart and makes me yearn to be a better person every day. So, in a way, the act of driving him out of Tibet has been a benefit to all of the world as he has traveled and spread his example to so many of us who otherwise would not have had the opportunity. Much Love
