Note: Watching this film got me deeply moved in a mood of Shanghai, an international center of all the excitements - careful choice between the exotic and the tragic 17:48, with 49: 38, Wang Luo-Yong.
A SPECTACULAR MOVIE! I didn't have to be convinced to watch it, just reading the argument and the cast was enough. Vanessa Redgrave - I love her since my childhood - Natasha Richardson who left us so early, Lynn Redgrave, Ralph Fiennes... it doesn't get any better than that. A captivating story as attractive as The Red Violin, which I saw again a few weeks ago here on youtube. NOT TO BE MISSED!
Never saw this one , exquisite ,and poignant. I say, well acted too. I say also, Mr Fiennes holding the hand of Ms. Richardson, brilliant and beautiful was special even in this part, and it's so sad that she died soon after in that terrible tragic accident. (Of course, great respect to the characters and actors of Asian culture amazing and brilliant calm, with wisdom as well) In addition, I do understand, the lost because I lost someone too, its a twist of irony of life it's hard but must press forward. I say embrace all moments when can. The movie was outstanding. Thank you for the upload and have a good week.?????????????. Stay healthy.
This is an excellent film that I stumbled on by accident. Both lead actors did an excellent job. Intriguing story line, well portrayed. Richardson was a talented professional and very fine human being. She is missed. Not enough kind souls like her in this world.
Excellent film. Brilliantly acted with stunning cast. and solid directing. I don't mourn the loss of Richardson, Redgrave (Lynn), and others. They left a legacy of great acting and inspiring ideas behind them. All the more so in films such as these. Great themes of overcoming, staying true to oneself no matter the cost. Gentle intelligence and beauty survive and are not left behind even in war. There is always a reason to go on and life and hope are reborn with new dreams. Big Thumbs Up!
