It was beyond any word to describe what I experienced in this vacation. I can not call it mission trip because I knew what I could help others is very limited. What God show me is really being with me every moment when I was in Jamaica.
Back in March this year, I wanted to have a vacation plan for my 2 weeks summer holiday. My son Han went to Mexico last summer. It was an amazing experience he got, everyday, all the youth felt so close to God. I really wanted to have a vacation like that. Then after searching online, the only mission trip fits my schedule is Caribbean Lifetime Mission. -----Jamaica. When I booked my trip, I was the only one at that time. I was not nervous , I knew I will meet other Christians, will have a good experience. Soon, a couple from Ontario joined, then another 2 families from states would come later. It was my first time, I didn't do fund raising because it would be my vacation.
On July 27,2014 I started my journey. Plane landed in Houstone at midnight. I found out I need to take a inter train to go to terminal E to catch United airline to Montego Bay. I had a layover in airport for 9 hours. Well I did bring a small pillow and a blanket, found a safe spot with a group of a family , had a good sleep at banch in Houston. Woke up at 5, to go to security check. Finally after another 3 and half hours flight, I was in Jamaica. It was hot hot...and felt stranger to be around with so many local people. I got help from information office , found out the van which to pick me up broke down. God really changed me, and gave me strengh in every situation, I prepared. After waiting patiently by a police station, I saw a couple....a ha, the guy looked like Lee, I was so happy to recognize them, so happy that we exchanged pictures before we met. They looked so nervous too, searching the pick up person. After walking throught the crowd, I called them Courtney...Lee.....at that moment, we were like old friends:)))
