Experience Lang Lang's performance

We went to see LangLang performing at Dallas Symphony Orchestra last night. It was truly a marvelous experience. I have always wanted to go to see his concert. A week ago when a friend of mine informed me with the news and a discounted price for tickets. I seized the opportunity and bought tickets right away. This is the first time I have ever been in an orchestra show. I was so stressed with the attire required for the event. I know that people normally dress up for it,but how much you should dress up have me worried, because I really  don't want to be too conspicuous. At the end I decided on a elegant gray silk dress, which turned out to be just right.
I have to say I was really amazed by LangLang's performance. I don't know much about music, I can't even tell the difference between those many world renowned pianists when they play. Even our church pianist impresses me every time. LangLang walked to the stage in a thunderous applause. I think there are many people here like me, bought the tickets mainly because of him. He is so young and humble looking.Once the music starts, my whole attention was focused on him. I watched his every movements and forgot to see the also very famous violinist sitting behind him. He seemed to be in a trance, totally unaware of the audience. His arms and hands waved in the air like he was the second conductor, his eyes were closed most of the time. He played piano in all sorts of postures, sometimes he bended so low his nose almost touched the keyboard, sometimes he yanked his head back all the way like he was blown by a head on strong wind, sometimes his whole body was swayed to one side like he was trying to reach something eagerly, sometimes he played gently, so gentle it was like he was afraid of breaking a delicate piece of china, yet sometimes he pounded the keys like heavy rain drops pounded windows in a severe storm.I can't imagine what kind of skill that requires to hit every key with perfect accuracy and precise amount of strength. I was totally drenched in his music, his performance, I lost myself in the audience for a while, until thel ast notes was played, until the unusual silence fell in the audience before the thunderous applause erupted around me. People applauded and applauded, until their palms were sore. Whistles, high pitched approving sounds shoot out here and there. Just to note that this is an orchestra audience, not a pop concert, most people are very restrained with their manner, yet the audience shows the most enthusiasm that can be seen here, a long standing ovation was given, LangLang was back to stage and bowed to the audience again and again, yet the applause didn't not die down until he sat in front of the piano again and readied to give the encore that everybody longed. He played an extreme  hard piece this time, I have never seen anybody playing piano like that, it is like the piano is an extension of his own body, he controls it so naturally and flawlessly. I am totally awed.
