A Cookie's Life
A chocolate chip cookie was lying in a box at Annie's Bakery and Bar. He was a perfectly shaped cookie with a chocolate chip star in the center. The warm, mouth-watering smell rose up from the colorful bakery. Swish! The door was carelessly opened.by a family of three. The small boy wearing a blue shirt with white stripes and rough jeans met the cookie and begged for it. "Spoiled kid." thought the cookie. Anyway, the family counted the money and paid. On the cart, there were many kinds of junk food, such as soda cans, hamburgers, and a bag full of candy. The cookie realized the man's mustache was the same color as his chocolate chip, and mom's hair was brown and was the same color as his chocolate chips. The family stopped for a picnic at Carnival Park. After eating his lunch, the boy got permission to eat the cookie. Carelessly, he picked up the cookie, but dropped it with his greasy hands.
A flock of crows came to peck the cookie, and the boy was delighted. He threw bits of hamburger to the crow. "Oh, boy," he thought. He'd rather be melting in the boy's mouth with frizzling soda than being pecked by the crows. The mom threw the cookie away, and the boy screamed and kicked.
In the trash can, he met many friends such as Grandma Plastic Spoon, Mr. Sprite Can, Miss Brown Banana, and Freddie Fish Paper. Grandma Plastic Spoon told them about her life as a young, pretty, shiny spoon. Mr. Sprite Can said, "She always says that."
Then Mr. Sprite Can told about himself as being drunk when wathching a late horror movie. Miss Brown Bananna rolled her eyes. Cookie felt very happy to know about his friends.
The garbage truck came and gave the cookie and his friends a free ride. There, he met more friends such as Flora the sugar cookie, Alistari the stinky sneaher, and Stanley the gift wrap paper. Flora mentioned how she wished to be a chocolate chip cookie, too. Cookie felt prouder than Jackie Chen. Stanley told him that once he was wrapped outside a Grow Your Own Crystal Kit. Hwas very tired of waiting and being stretched at the birthday party. "that's what wrapping paper is for!"said Cookie.
They were interrupted by Snapple Bottle Ali. Ali said, "Who cares about being streched or being a chololate chip cookie!" Stanley burst into tears and sobbed, "You don't know how much pain it was!" "Ha-a-a!"began Ali, but he was interrupted by cookie. "Yeah! You don't know how much pain it was! Stop bullying us or I will crush you!" Ali backed away to his friends.
Finally, the truck ended with a rough stop, and the man took all the garbage out to the land fill. The landfill was covered with friends he could make, big and small. "Wow!"Cookie thought."Today is my lucky day." He gazed up into the sky and saw birds flying up and down. The sun seemed to smaile at him warmly. Cookie had a very comfortable feeling and slowly melted away while watching the birds flying and singing a beautiful song.
