纽约肯尼迪机场中国国航981航班刚刚降落。开往候机楼。国航飞行员的英文实在不敢恭维。显然飞行员听不懂，也不会跟塔台交流。坐在这样的飞机上太恐怖。
塔台和飞行员的对话
ATC: AirChina981 make the right turn here at Juliette, join Alpha, hold short of MikeAlpha
塔台：国航981在（Juliette）J处右转， 接到（Alpah） A道，停在不到 （MikeAlpha）MA 的地方等着。
Pilot: Right on Juliette hold sh...Taxi Alpha hold November....can we taxi now?
981飞行员：在J等....,开去A, 等N (November)... 我们能开了吗？
ACT: Make the right turn here at Juliette, Join Alpha, hold short of MikeAlpha - AirChina 981
塔台：在（Juliette）J处右转， 接到（Alpah） A道，停在不到 （MikeAlpha）MA 的地方等着--国航981。
Pilot: AirChina981, roger join right Juliette, join Alpha, hold short to November
981飞行员:国航981, J处右转， 接到（Alpah） A道，停在不到 （November)N 的地方等着
ACT: OK, I will say it again, hold short of Mike Alpha "M"."A" MikeAlpha, Not November
塔台: 好，我再试着说一遍，停在不到 （MikeAlpha）MA 的地方等着， 不是N (November).

981飞行员: OK,停在不到 （MikeAlpha）MA 的地方等着. 981
ACT: AirChina 981, have they cleared you into the ramp?
塔台:国航981, 他们让你开去悬梯了吗？
Pilot: Roger, ramp on the ....ramp, AirChina981
981飞行员:开去悬梯，国航981。
ACT：AirChina981, Ground
塔台：国航981，地面
Pilot:
981飞行员: （没说话）
ACT: AirChina981, Kennedy Ground
塔台：国航981，肯尼迪地面
Pilot: 981, go ahead
981飞行员: 981，请讲
ACT: Have you been cleared into the ramp?
塔台：国航981, 他们让你开去悬梯了吗？
Pilot: OK cleared to the ramp.
981飞行员:OK 开去悬梯。
ACT: No that was a question! Have the ramp people cleared you into the gate?
塔台：不对！那是个问句！悬梯那儿的人有没有让你开去登机口？
Pilot: Roger to the gate, AirChina981
981飞行员:我这就开去登机口，国航981。
ACT: I'll try it again it's a question, hold your postion, this is a question[....]Have you been cleared into your gate?
塔台：我再试一遍，是个问句！停着别动， 这是个问题。悬梯那儿的人有没有让你开去登机口？
Pilot: OK we hold here
981飞行员:好，我们等在这儿。
ACT: OK, how about the question? Have they cleared you into the gate?
塔台：OK. 别忘了那个问题。悬梯那儿的人有没有让你开去登机口？
Pilot: [...]Tower[...]Ground, AirChina981, we are...gate number 3 is open...taxi to the northern
981飞行员:。。。塔台。。。地面，国航981， 我们。。。3号登机口打开着。。。向北开了。
ACT: AirChian981, taxi to the ramp
塔台：国航981，开去悬梯。
后记
到次年三月，每个国航飞行员都要通过英文考试。几千名飞行员都没有通过考试，但还在继续驾驶飞机。请不要至人民的生命安全与不顾，就因为某些人不会翻译。
