Did you lose something?
Did I?

Perhaps swoosh by swoosh
 into the wind as you passed by
Perhaps drop by drop
 into the stream as we are getting over
Perhaps moon after moon
 into the night as we are rolling the time wheel

I could not freeze the sweetest wind
 when you first brushed by
I could not save the clearest drop of dew
 when you first made my cry
I could not save all of your youth
 under the glazing moon

Did everyone else lose
 wind
   stream
      and nobody else' moon
