Capitalism and busy

A few hundred years ago, people were not as busy as we are, or were they? Believe they were not, other wise who wrote those classic peoms, beautiful musics, long-lasting scripts? Do not really know if they were happy or not.

Now, everything could travel at the speed of light: email, IM, cell phone. We are busy, or at least pretending so to keep up with every body else. Are we happier than those who lived a few hundred years ago? Do not know either, who can define happiness? So with the void of definition, all human are equal, in deed.
