Weekly Entry #152/2/13After I have finished my reading and it’s time for my Lit Letter, I just type. No plan, no outline, no anything(I realized that no nothing me anything). It’s been quite a long time since I wrote a web, or outline or any helpful guide for my writing. I don’t know why but whenever I write, is almost written in stone(not really because it’s actually on paper or the computer). As I type, I occasionally look back to see what I have typed up and that’s where I do my revising and only revising. I only edit to try to make the words fit the page or not go onto a second page. I know this is one of the worst ways to write, but it just seems so natural to me. In my Lit Letters, I just wrote until the page filled up and I sometimes looked back to see if there was parts that made absolutely no sense. Sometimes. If someone was to ask me what number would be a good fit for me to quantify my writings on a scale of 1-10, 10 being Samuel Clemens and 1 being a being that doesn’t understand English, I would give myself a 4. Of course that’s a pretty big jump, but if my mom was to give me that same grade on the same scale, she’d give me a 1 and a half. Many a times in writing(especially personal experiences or journals of my life), I just write the most boring, horrible, being-a-mistake-to-read entries I can think up. That’s why my mom thinks I am such a horrible writer and forces me to join writing clubs, or look at college resumes to improve my writing. I have also found out that I like to add extra not really connected information to my writings to extend it. I know that this is a really bad trick but sometimes it works. Overall, I really don’t think the way I write is really good, nor bad.
