Thank you all, the domestic and international Chinese for thinking of us. And your persistent struggles with the biased western medias and protests around the different metropolitans encourage me to take my action as a Chinese citizen to boycott the ignorant and arrogant French Government, which supported and even participated in the riot to disturb Beijing Olympic torch relay in Paris.
The first day when I decided to join this French company, not just because of it being a foreign company for a good pay and welfare, but also I knew France was one of the truly amicable countries to the Chinese People and the Government, sharing a strategic partnership with “the Great France”.
From Chinese medias, I had learned a lot of the positive introductions about the great French culture, civilization and the friendly and sincere Sino-French exchange of science and technology, culture and education. And I thought the French would be the best friend of the Chinese People.
Your previous President Chirac is a good friend with our previous Jiang, plus our current President Hu Jin-tao is also very supportive to the newly selected French President Sarkozy.
Just recently when Sarkozy visited China, the Chinese Government contributed to him a big gift and signed up $30 billion deals with his delegates. For some of the projects, the Chinese companies are fully competent and longs for edging in the deals. But our government and people thought of the saint Sino-French relationship first, and gave those deals to French companies instead of those qualified native companies.
After his right leaving from China, the moment of French government and some of your agitated French crashed down the torch relay, suddenly awoke me up that the friendship between China and France was not that solid and pure. It was kind of like our Chinese people leased the friendship. Now the term was over in few weeks, your wanted to take the lease back. When I saw the Paris Mayor, himself as the pioneer to agitate the government to hang the Tibetan flag over his office building, I was deeply hurt and humiliated. This was not friendly, even neutral at all.
Your performance not only failed to meet the basic requirement of security assurance to friendly foreign visitors, but also failed to meet the expectation to promote Olympic Spirit in a continent, which it stemmed from.
Your government and your men cannot even protect a little disabled girl in wheelchair. How can I trust your state to be a responsible country to protect world justice, peace and order? How will the French be a qualified strategic partner of our great country to protect the fairness of the world, which is damaged by a super power in this volatile dissolving world with the crisis spreading from economy to energy to almost every aspect?
I deeply love my home country, which I was born and raised in. When anyone hurt her, I have the solemn right to protect her from any humiliation and bully.
Today I am going to send my resignation letter to my manager and apply to resign from Carrefour immediately today, which I worked for like a horse before. Now this is the time for me to return the debts I owed to my motherland.
I will do my best to protect my dignity and the dignities of all my country fellows. I am asking a sincere apology from your president Sarkozy for his ignorant speech to boycott Beijing Olympics and his sabotage to this difficult Sino-French relationship. I am asking a renewal Beijing Olympic torch relay in Paris again with your full protection without any harassment.
I believe we will have more Chinese Carrefour employees will resign from the company for their dignity until your government and your president correct your erroneous actions.
