“圣经”明确鼓励基督徒们不要结婚。

歌林多前书 7：8 我对着没有嫁娶的和寡妇说，若他们常像我就好。
Now to the unmarried and the widows I say: It is good for them to stay unmarried, as I am.

7：27 你有妻子缠着呢，就不要求脱离。你没有妻子缠着呢，就不要求妻子。
Are you married? Do not seek a divorce. Are you unmarried? Do not look for a wife.


看懂了吗？很明确：单身的活着守寡的，最好保持单身（stay unmarried）。没有老婆的，不要去找老婆。

为什么最好不要结婚呢？“圣经”里自然也解释得很清楚：

7：32 我愿你们无所挂虑。没有娶妻的，是为主的事挂虑，想怎样叫主喜悦。
I would like you to be free from concern. An unmarried man is concerned about the Lord\'s affairs--how he can please the Lord.
7：33 娶了妻的，是为世上的事挂虑，想怎样叫妻子喜悦。
But a married man is concerned about the affairs of this world--how he can please his wife--
7：34 妇人和处女也有分别。没有出嫁的，是为主的事挂虑，要身体灵魂都圣洁。已经出嫁的，是为世上的事挂虑，想怎样叫丈夫喜悦。
and his interests are divided. An unmarried woman or virgin is concerned about the Lord\'s affairs: Her aim is to be devoted to the Lord in both body and spirit. But a married woman is concerned about the affairs of this world--how she can please her husband.
7：35 我说这话，是为你们的益处。不是要牢笼你们，乃是要叫你们行合宜的事，得以殷勤服事主，没有分心的事。
I am saying this for your own good, not to restrict you, but that you may live in a right way in undivided devotion to the Lord.

当然了，“圣经”也说了，结婚不是犯罪。如果实在“欲火攻心”的话，还是结婚吧：

7：9 倘若自己禁止不住，就可以嫁娶。与其欲火攻心，倒不如嫁娶为妙。
But if they cannot control themselves, they should marry, for it is better to marry than to burn with passion.


所以，当两个基督徒结婚的时候，我们就知道了，这一对基督徒都是出于“欲火攻心”的状态，已经不能自控了。所以只好结婚了。
