Relocate from HK to Shanghai, 50% salary reduction

My boss finally kicked me out of our team and gave me 3 months\' time to look for an internal job within our company. My boss gave me a very bad reference letter to HR already. I have to leave our company if I do not manage to find a next role internally.

I\'m based on Hong Kong. Recently I did some networking speaking to a few senior people in our company who are recruiting now.

There has been quite a lot struggle, as everybody in this forum has had when facing similar situation--to know that you will be unemployed in a few months time without knowing your next step.

now, one opportunity emerges. I spoke to a director who is recuiting for her team and we talked about the role that she found me fit for. It is based in Shanghai and she offered me only 50% of my current salary.

The reason is, my company is famous for paying low salaries comparing to industry average level, and it is not negotiable. However, my company is a very famous one so once a person works here for a few years, he/she will be able to get a much better offer from our competitors.

The role is intersting for me and matches my background and career aspiration. Salary is my only concern--I have never been paid such a low salary after my MBA.

I have to talk to the director this Thursday. Shall I accept the offer?
