Matchbox 20

　　抒情摇滚乐队“火柴盒20”(Matchbox 20)于1996年一举成名，他们的歌曲有着十分优美的旋律，在主唱罗布·托马斯(Rob Thomas)的带领下，他们成为同时停留全美电台成人抒情榜与成人榜Top40最久的冠军曲纪录保持者。作风低调、不炒作新闻是乐队的最大特色。

　　每当被问及乐队名是怎样来的时，他们都会现编一些故事：一次，正在大街上晃荡的托马斯发现了一个有着很酷logo的火柴盒，随后他又撞见一件印有号码20的靓衫……；乐队成立之初，团员们都还是20岁的年纪，如今他们可是老多了，所以乐队的名字也由原来的“火柴盒20”改成“火柴盒二十”(matchbox twenty)；在鼓手保罗·杜塞特(Paul Doucette)还在做侍应生的时候，一天，他穿了件十分花哨的衣服上面缀满了贴片，只有数字20和“火柴盒”这几个字能够认出来，托马斯觉得将它们组合在一起不但听上去非常酷，而且也将会是一个出色的成衣品牌；除了这个名字，乐队当时还考虑过“Joanie Loves Chachie”和“大鞋蜘蛛”(Big Shoe Spiders)。
