A few years ago while taking the extended maternity leave, I watched an obscene amount of Japanese TV drama. Some romance, some mysteries, all a waste of time.
Then I rejoined the workforce and started to earn greenbacks again. (Also realized that being a housewife is really really not my thing.) Thus ended my obsessive though thankfully temporary TV drama binge watching.
Until this year when I discovered Korean TV drama on Netflix.
Previously I quite looked down upon Korean TV drama. Too many episodes to watch to finish a show. Plastic-surgery-enhanced faces rendering me face blind to many actors/actresses. I often can't tell whether a person is a butch girl or a feminine guy. So in a nut shell they are not Japanese TV drama and I don't get why back home in China folks are just bat crazed about Korean culture.
Then I started watching the Korean TV drama that Netflix carries in abundance.
I started with Coffee Prince then moved on to Boys over Flowers. And I just couldn't get enough of Lee Min Ho.
These romance has ridiculous retard plots. And the characters do things a la brain dead. But fantasies extraordinaire that they are. I mean just look at Lee Min Ho's long legs & crooked smile. I sneer at the story lines and can't stand the stupidity of the characters but don't you dare to even think about turning my TV off.
What's ironic is that those "male gods" only look so dreamy within the show. Outside of the TV drama Lee Min Ho looks nothing like Goon Jonpyo.
I miss them legs.
