I saw those VCDs that Y lent me and realized that it's all over.
Y is a Canadian Hongkongnese. She's about the only person whose lack of driving skills "overwhelms" mine. Though I suck, big time, at parking, at least I resemble a normal person when it comes to driving. She rots at both.
She's quite a character. Here's one of her stories:
One time she went over to a friend's party and got back home really late. So she slept all the way into the noon time the next day - until she was woken up by some noises downstairs - she lived in a loft. She poked her head out of her bedroom, in her PJs I hope ; ), and saw two stranger guys in her apartment. She started screaming and looked fanantically for the phone to call 911. She thought she was being robbed and she imagined all the horrors.
The 2 guys were equally shocked - they were the supers of her building.
It turned out that there was a leak in her bathroom and the water dripped to the floors down. The supers came pounding on her door that morning trying to fix the leak. They pounded and pounded. Getting no answer they figured that no one's home. So they un-hinged and took the front door down (! they didn't have the key). And while they were busy with the repair business they heard this crazy girl coming out of nowhere hollering her lungs broken.
BTW she said she's the soundest sleeper - and I said it's the worst hangover. ; P
Anyway. It's world peace in the end. I thought it's a really funny story. But she almost got mad at my laughing so hard at her expense. Well you know I was supposed to be are-you-all-right-ish. ; )
Long story short Y and I got along quite well when we got along. But then we stopped getting along for some work biz. Then she left the company. The date she left we bumped into each other in the loo. She said that she did not want the things to end on bad terms and she wanted me to know that things were OK. I felt quite bad (more so for my not being able to be the bigger person) and said I was sorry that things turned out the way they were.
And that's that until I saw those VCDs. They are a couple of cartoons and I enjoyed them very much.
Isn't that SAD?
