天津大学某教统计数学的Horse教授,五十来岁,被澳洲某大学一三十来岁的后生邀请做Visiting Professor,无奈其国家津贴甚微.

Horse教授暇时想捞点外快,于是乎在校园登了个广告,曰之:数学教授,教统计数学和数学答疑，$10/小时。无人问津，Horse教授甚为诧异, 问吾why? 江游答曰:教授,答疑$10/小时,安有信之乎? Horse教授哑然.

I don't get it. Why funny? The price is not right? I used to be a math tutor at University when I was a graduate student, I charged $10/hour too. Not many students at all until final exams were approaching. I was much much better than the Math professor, I could tell the answer by just a glance. Instead, those math professors always stucked in front of the black board. The students I taught were not generous either, even though they were supposed to be rich, and liked my tutoring a lot. Many times, 2 female students came together, only gave me $5 each.
