'They' need you to be on the wrong side of every big economic mo

Almost everything you read in print, hear on the radio or see on TV that has anything to do with money or the economy can be a lie.

The people who control the flow of information in America have too much to gain from telling you lies and so much to lose if you were able to stumble into the truth.

"They" need you to be on the wrong side of every big economic move that happens, they need you to sell at the bottoms and buy at the tops-be it stocks, houses, or other assets.

There is no economic benefit to anyone for sharing the truth with the public. People who may be in possession of accurate data or important truths can profit far more if they keep the truth to themselves than they can by going on the web and releasing the data to the masses.

If I could regularly and accurately predict where the stock market was headed, using some sort of TA, I would be a fool to share it with anyone. I would sit at home in front of my four screens and buy and sell, hoping to god that nobody else figured out what I was doing. (In my case, I have been a student of EW for years and have had fun sharing my predictions. Not enough $$$ is at stake to matter)

Whenever I read something on the web, the first thing I do is to consider the source. If I am on a "pro gold" site, I can predict that with 90% accuracy that every bit of data that I read will be shaped at getting me to buy more gold. If I am on P's site and he is screaming about a crash, I start looking for good longs. If everyone is singing that we are running out of oil, I give a lot of thought to the idea that oil reserves probably naturally replenish themselves.

Every bit of information that we have easy access to is misleading us in one way or another. It may be a series of half truths that are threaded together in such a way that nobody could decipher it, it may be in the form of statistical lies, it may be a lie of omission or the info is correct but the timing is all wrong or vice versa. There are a myriad of ways to lie and misinform and the purveyors of information are quite skilled at their chosen art. The people who are lying to us, may not even know they are lying, but the editor who allowed the info to go to print knows that it is a lie. Editors are the lynchpins of lies.

Sometimes I feel like Fox Mulder, wandering around aimlessly, repeatedly getting my ass kicked and knowing that everyone around me is lying and not being able to do anything about it. In my little world, I recently found out that a competitor of mine who advertises, "lowest price gauranteed" actually does sell his products at the lowest price, but he pads the shipping cost 100% and makes his profit on the shipping. It appears to me that becoming a good liar is almost a requirement to making money in business these days.

Many of us consciously or unconsciously know that TV news and newspapers are lying to us and many of us were drawn to the web because it felt like a more direct and less filtered venue to extract the truth. Years ago the Drudgereport became a household name as a place to find news that didn't appear available anywhere else. Today it is obvious that this site is nothing more than a Neocon propaganda wing, joining hands with conservative radio to convince us that bombing Lebanon is a good thing.

To become a powerful liar, you first need to build credibility. All of today's purveyors of propaganda, started out speaking the truth and by doing so, gained listeners and readers and once they knew that people were listening to them, they slowly began boiling the frog. I can't tell if Ru$h became big and then got bought out or if he always knew that he was nothing more than a propagandist. I don't think Hanitty is even aware that he is a sellout to liberty and freedom.

The truth is out there, but you have to dodge a lot of misinformation to find it and when you do find it and try and share the information with friends and family, nobody will believe you because they have all been conditioned by a "Goebbels like" deluge of repeated lies and trickery...
