Timeline

15 Apr 1452Leonardo born, illegitimate to Ser Piero da Vinci, in Vinci Italy.
1472Member of the Painter's Guild, Florence.
1476da Vinci and several other young men arrested for sodomy. The charges are dropped, but the scandal taints Leonardo's time in Florence.
1482Moves to Milan to escape talk of buggery.
1495Begins work on "The Last Supper."
1499Finishes "The Last Supper." Because of his experimental technique in painting materials, the epic piece begins to disintegrate immediately.
1502Meets Cesare Borgia, who becomes his patron, and Niccol Machiavelli, who becomes a lifelong friend.
1504Returns to Florence, starts working on "Mona Lisa."
1513Moves to Rome.
1519Leonardo dies.

memoryforever 回复 悄悄话 Actually, I'm not that interested in Leo but the movie and the novel in which he was utilized as a main factor.

Anyway, Dan Brown is great as the writer of this book, of course, what he did was just to borrow the ideas from "Templar Revelation" written by Lynn & Clive.

I am not sure if the influence brought in by this movie is to have fans study BIBLE more or learn LEO more, to me, it is the former.

Glad to see more friends here being interested in this topic, I have been pretty impressed by this movie.
