"Happiness"
Where does it come from?
What is the reason for this feeling of happiness?
Does it arise from my good long sleep
which has done me so much good?
Or from the word Om which I pronounced?
Or because I have run away, because
my flight is accomplished, because
I am at last free again and stand
like a child beneath the sky?
Ah, how good this flight has been, this liberation!
:: exerpts from "Siddhartha" by Hermann Hesse
[On such a day, this great book falls in my hands
& the Love becomes more solid, for YOU!]
the "freedom" of the mind....
......we know that "happiness" comes from within!!!!
“Freedom” is deceptive (I remember you mentioned it in one of your recent poems and we discussed a lot) - - - Self-liberation becomes too superficial now - - - a journey of soul turns out to be that of body through trashing it. Then people fall into the traps of that kind of freedom. : )
I will check out the movie this weekend. Thanks :)
has to be the "freedom" of the mind....]
same here :)
has to be the "freedom" of the mind....
but, sadly, in reality
people have distorted this concept [Freedom]
to some really naive absurdity....
Oh, well....
What the *bleep do i know?
nothing is better than having a TRUELY free mind:)
take care :)
if Miller read it, it must be something :)
these few lines already set my mind to another "flight" :)
take care!
Miller said it's one of his favorite books, a book of buddha but without buddha appearing in it at all. very enlightening, i guess then . :)
