WAKEFULNESS How many times Has the big bird died By the river In your dreams? Or, was it a shooting star With eyes shining Sinking In lovers' song At the edge of the town Where you call home? If you could hear The lovers’ utterance And their loud sexiness That means the bird Has finally arrived. If Death were really winged Then, by which gate The song has been heard So deep So cloudless? If Love were all You have remembered--- The silhouette of motherland & The taste of that slow river--- That means you have flown Far enough Many gates And skies after Wings or no wings Some beautiful creature Has taken refuge In the honey Of your night. ::june 2005 art: dorothy fagan

我想，涅磐当然可以用作神圣的“死” - - - 不需要一一对应的指为和尚而已 -
- - 尤其暗指一种不死的死时 - - - 这是鸟,死而复生，所以是一种永恒之境 -
- - 嗯，不想纯粹的只认为是某某教的用语；即便宗教里使用这个词，说明“死”
是一种与“生”相应的境界

现代汉语“涅磐”：佛教用语，指所幻想的超脱生死的境界，也用做(佛或僧人)“死”的代称。

诗中的“Big Bird”难道是个"和尚鸟"或"佛鸟"？？？凡人知凡不解。请教二位诗人！

really love the lines "wind trace" mentioned.
