        Two Fathers, Two Sons

Hisname was Fleming, and he was a poor Scottish farmer. One day, while trying tomake a living for his family, he heard a cry for help coming from a nearby bog.He dropped his tools and ran to the bog.

There,mired to his waist in black muck, was a terrified boy, screaming and strugglingto free himself. Farmer Fleming saved the lad from what could have been a slowand terrifying death.

Thenext day, a fancy carriage pulled up to the Scotsman's sparse surroundings Anelegantly dressed nobleman stepped out and introduced himself as the father ofthe boy Farmer Fleming had saved.

"Iwant to repay you," said the nobleman. "You saved my son'slife."

"No,I can't accept payment for what I did," the Scottish farmer replied wavingoff the offer. At that moment, the farmer's own son came to the door of thefamily hovel.

"Isthat your son?" the nobleman asked.

"Yes,"the farmer replied proudly.

"I'llmake you a deal. Let me provide him with the level of education my own son willenjoy. If the lad is anything like his father, he'll no doubt grow to be a manwe both will be proud of." And that he did.

FarmerFleming's son attended the very best schools and in time, graduated from St. Mary'sHospital Medical School in London , and went on to become known throughout theworld as the noted Sir Alexander Fleming , the discoverer of Penicillin.

Yearsafterward, the same nobleman's son who was saved from the bog was stricken withpneumonia.

Whatsaved his life this time? Penicillin.

Thename of the nobleman? Lord Randolph Churchill. His son's name?  Sir Winston Churchill .

Someoneonce said: What goes around comes around.

Worklike you don't need the money.

Lovelike you've never been hurt.

Dancelike nobody's watching.

Singlike nobody's listening.

Livelike it's Heaven on Earth.

两位父亲，两位儿子

故事说的是，有一次，一位农夫救了一位有钱人的儿子。有钱人很感激，要给农夫一大笔钱。农夫说他不能因做了好事而接受这钱。 这时农夫的儿子进来了，有钱人就说，那好吧，让我负责把你的儿子送去接受高等教育。

于是在有钱人的帮助下农夫的儿子进了最好的一家医学院学习。 后来他成为举世闻名的青霉素发明者Alexander Fleming。

有钱人的儿子有一回得了肺炎，肺炎那个时候可是要命的病。什么东西救了他？青霉素！这位被青霉素救了的有钱人的儿子，就是后来顶顶有名的温斯顿。邱吉尔！

读了这文章, 你会感觉到世间万物的因果联系, 你会体会到 “种瓜得瓜, 种豆得豆”, “善有善报” 等等谚语, 真是非常非常深刻的生活真理!

顺便说一句, ALEXANDER FLEMING 的功劳，可不在邱吉尔之下。青霉素，标志着人类历史的一个旅程碑，它救了多少人的命啊。直到青霉素问世，病毒才真的被“道”所制服。虽然后来魔会高一尺，但“道”也总有办法升级。当今医学界乃至整个人类，你能想象没有抗生素的情况吗？
