爱情解密之五：NEVER TEACH A PIG TO SING

People can change. Some people change relatively fast and some slow. But people in general don’t like change, especially when they feel they don’t need to change, while we expect them to change in order to match our needs or standards.

Some people fall in love with someone who has some personalities and behaviors that always bother them. Apparently, these people are not satisfied with it. So they start to change or reform their beloved ones towards the ways they prefer. The changing process always goes well at the beginning, especially when the relationship is not being secure and stable. Sooner or later, however, they feel exhaust and disappointed with the progress because their beloved ones are gradually changing back to the way they used to be. Often enough, the more they try, the more disappointed and upset they will become. There is one more thing: their beloved ones get irritated and frustrated too.

Some years ago, my school teacher taught me a very important life lesson: Never try to teach a pig to sing. It wastes your time and annoys the pig too. It’s important to know who is changeable and who is just a waste of your time. More importantly, don’t waste your whole life to teach a pig who is never able to sing.
