征得儿子的同意，把上二年级儿子最近得“Golden Pencil”奖（班级）的作文放这里。看样子，两点值得和大家share: 1.多读书，孩子才能有想象力。2.这个年纪的孩子区分不了“imagination”和“lie”的差别。父母要说明一下。

儿子在读三年级的书。老师说儿子在二年级期末的阅读水平。他读书是我操心，所以心里有数。尽量借不同类型的书，吊起孩子的阅读兴趣。孩子喜欢的书，他会自己反复读。

我们今天还在讨论“说谎”和“想象”的区别。儿子以前是决不写不“真实”的故事，认为那是“lie”。今天再次给他解释，“Lie is forsome popurses and may hurt other people. When you write a story, youdon't have the purpose to hurt anybody. So we call itimagination.”看来儿子有那么点明白这中间的差别了。

 Playing Baseball （１０－３０－２００７）

My friend Alex pitched a fast ball. He was pracktsing (practising) his throwing. Now we were ready to play some baseball.

Alexthrew a fast ball and I missed the ball and it happend (happened)overand over again. So I watch (-ed) carfuley (carefully) so I could hitthe ball.

It was the last time that Alex was going to throw the ball. The ball came closer and closer...

And I smacked the ball! The ball went sailing across the yard. It was the first time I hit a ball!
