Poem: What Am I(Excerpt)
Author: Rumi Narrator: Unknown

I am not of the East, nor of the West,
nor of the land, nor of the sea;

I am not of earth, nor of water,
nor of air, nor of fire;

I am not the sphere, nor of the dust,
nor of the existence, nor of the entity;

My place is the placeless,
my trace is the traceless;

For I belong to the soul of the beloved.

林贝卡 回复 悄悄话 Rumi的诗歌,柔情万种,却又充满了智慧和哲理。Rumi was a 13th-century Persian Muslim poet, jurist, theologian, and Sufi mystic. Rumi's works are written in the New Persian language. Rumi's importance is considered to transcend national and ethnic borders. In 2007, he was described as the "most popular poet in America." (Source: Wikipedia)
