An Unforgettable Christmas Carol
Every time when I hear Nat King Cole's baritone voice singing "Caroling Caroling", it brings back my warm memories of one unforgettable Christmas carol.
It was more than ten years ago while we were living in Youngstown, OH. Youngstown's winter was really cold. It was Christmas Eve and a snowing night. I was home with my two little ones. My husband had to work that night.
All of sudden, I heard singing outside my window. I opened my door and saw my friend Bennette and her friends standing in the snow singing "Caroling Caroling", "Silent night", "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" and "We wish you a merry Christmas and happy new year", etc.
They sang one carol after another. Their beautiful singing warmed my heart and brought joy to my kids. All these years have passed, I have heard a lot of Christmas songs. But that Christmas Eve's carol had special place in my heart.
Song: Caroling Caroling
Artist: Nat King Cole
Ding, dong, ding, dong
Christmas bells are ringing
Caroling, caroling now we go
Christmas bells are ringing
Caroling, caroling through the snow
Christmas bells are ringing
Joyous voices sweet and clear
Sing the sad of heart to cheer
Ding, dong, ding, dong
Christmas bells are ringing
Caroling, caroling through the town
Christmas bells are ringing
Caroling, caroling up and down
Christmas bells are ringing
Mark thee well the song that we sing
Gladsome tidings now we bring
Ding, dong, ding, dong
Christmas bells are ringing
Caroling, caroling now we go
Caroling, caroling through the snow
Joyous voices sweet and clear
Sing the sad of heart to cheer
Ding, dong, ding, dong
Christmas bells are ringing
