Song: Jean Artist: Oliver
Jean, Jean, roses are red All the leaves have gone green And the clouds are so low You can touch them, and so Come out to the meadow, Jean
Jean, Jean, you're young and alive Come out of your half-dreamed dream And run, if you will, to the top of the hill Open your arms, bonnie Jean
Till the sheep in the valley come home my way Till the stars fall around me and find me alone When the sun comes a-singin' I'll still be waitin'
For Jean, Jean, roses are red And all of the leaves have gone green While the hills are ablaze with the moon's yellow haze Come into my arms, bonnie Jean

William Oliver Swofford, known professionally as Oliver, was an American pop singer. He began singing as an undergraduate at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the early 1960s. Oliver's clean-cut good looks and soaring baritone were the perfect vehicle for his July 1969 single Good Morning Starshine. His other hit singles are Rod McKuen's ballad Jean, the theme from the Oscar-winning film The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie.I Can Remember climbed into the top 25 of the Billboard Easy Listening chart in August 1970. Oliver's last single on pop music charts was his 1971 cover of Gordon Lightfoot's Early Morning Rain.
