| | | | | | | | Song: Goodbye's The Sddest Word Artist: Celine Dion Album: New Day Has Come
Mamma you gave life to me Turned a baby into a lady And mamma all you had to offer Was a promise of a lifetime of love Now I know there is no other love Like a mother's love for her child And I know love's so complete Someday must leave, must say goodbye Goodbye's the saddest word I'll ever hear Goodbye's the last time I will hold you near Someday you'll say that word and I will cry It'll break my heart to hear you say goodbye
Mamma you gave love to me Turned a young one into a woman And Mamma all I ever needed Was a guarantee of you loving me Cause I know there is no other love Like a mother's love for her child And it hurts so that something's so strong Someday will be gone, must say goodbye
Goodbye's the saddest word I'll ever hear Goodbye's the last time I will hold you near Someday you'll say that word and I will cry It'll break my heart to hear you say goodbye
But the love you give will always live You'll always be there every time I fall You are to me the greatest love of all You'll take my weakness and you make me strong And I will always love you till forever comes
And when you need me I'll be there for you always I'll be there your whole life through I'll be there this I promise you, mamma I'll be your beacon through the darkest night I'll be the wings that guide your broken flight I'll be your shelter through the raging storm And I will love you till forever comes
Goodbye's the saddest word I'll ever hear Goodbye's the last time I will hold you near Someday you'll say that word and I will cry It'll break my heart to hear you say goodbye Till we meet again until then goodbye
When I heard this song, it reminds me of my late mother. Miss you: my mother, my father and my brother who are in heaven now. It broke my heart to see you leaving without even having a chance to say goodbye.
I know life has to go on for those who love us and for those whom we love. The love and memories are always in my heart to keep me going. Helen Keller's poem popped into my mind:
What we once enjoyed And deeply loved We can never lose, For all that we love deeply Becomes a part of us.
"Till we meet again until then goodbye. "
On May 12, 2008, earthquake jolted Wenchuan, China. I can not help crying for the loss of so many precious lives...My thoughts and prayers are with Wenchuan's people and their family.

Céline Marie Claudette Dion (born March 30, 1968) is a Canadian singer, and occasional songwriter and actress. Born to a large, impoverished family in Charlemagne, Quebec, Dion emerged as a teen star in the French-speaking world after her manager and future husband René Angélil mortgaged his home to finance her first record. In 1990 she released the anglophone album Unison, establishing herself as a viable pop artist in North America and other English-speaking areas of the world.
Dion first gained international recognition in the 1980s after she won the 1982 Yamaha World Popular Song Festival. With the help of her husband, she achieved worldwide success with several English and French albums, ending the decade as one of the most successful artists in pop music. However, in 1999, at the height of her success, Dion announced a temporary retraction from entertainment in order to start a family and spend time with her husband, who had been diagnosed with cancer. She returned to the music scene in 2002 and signed a four-year contract to perform nightly in a five-star theatrical show at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas.
Dion's music has been influenced by genres ranging from pop, soul and rock to gospel and classical, and while her releases have often received mixed critical reception, she is renowned for her technically skilled and powerful vocals. In 2004, she was presented with the Chopard Diamond Award from the World Music Awards show for becoming the "Best-selling Female Artist in the World."
