Song: Down by the Salley Gardens
Artist: Rita Eriksen
Down by the salley gardens my love and I did meet;
She passed the salley gardens with little snow-white feet.
She bid me take love easy, as the leaves grow on the tree;
But I, being young and foolish, with her would not agree.
In a field by the river my love and I did stand,
And on my leaning shoulder she laid her snow-white hand.
She bid me take life easy, as the grass grows on the weirs;
But I was young and foolish, and now I am full of tears.

William Butler Yeats (pronounced /ˈjeɪts/; 13 June 1865 – 28 January 1939) was an Irish poet and dramatist, and one of the foremost figures of 20th-century literature.
He was a driving force behind the Irish Literary Revival, and together with Lady Gregory and Edward Martyn founded the Abbey Theatre, and served as its chief during its early years. A pillar of the Irish literary establishment in his later years, Yeats was an Irish Senator for two terms.
In 1923, he was awarded a Nobel Prize in Literature for what the Nobel Committee described as "inspired poetry, which in a highly artistic form gives expression to the spirit of a whole nation". Yeats is generally considered one of the few writers whose greatest works were completed after being awarded the Nobel Prize;such works include The Tower (1928) and The Winding Stair and Other Poems (1929).
Yeats was educated in Dublin, but spent his childhood in Sligo. He studied poetry in his youth, and from an early age was fascinated by both Irish legends and the occult. These topics feature in the first phase of his work, which lasted roughly until the turn of the century. His earliest volume of verse was published in 1889, and these slowly paced and lyrical poems display debts to Edmund Spenser and Percy Bysshe Shelley, as well as to the lyricism of the Pre-Raphaelite poets. From 1900, Yeats' poetry grew more physical and realistic renouncing the transcendentalism of his youth, though he remained preoccupied with physical and spiritual masks and cyclical theories of life.
Over the years Yeats adopted many different ideological positions, including, in the words of the critic Michael Valdez Moses, "those of radical nationalist, classical liberal, reactionary conservative and millenarian nihilist".

Rita Eriksen is without doubt considered as one of Norway’s best lead singers because of her outstanding voice.
In 1996 she released the album Tideland with the well-known singer Dolores Keane on the record label Kirkelig Kulturverksted. This was a CD that was very well received and showed that Rita Eriksen is also a master singing Norwegian traditional folk music. Rita is known for her ability to express different directions in her singing.
Rita Eriksen is half of the duo Eriksen, the other half being her brother Frank. Eriksen has three strong albums: Two Blue (MajorStudio MSCD 1113, 1992), The Water Is Wide (MajorStudio MSCD 1118, 1994) and Alt Vende Tebage (BMG Norge 743213281122, 1995) that established themselves amongst Norway’s best selling artists, especially their version of the famous Alf Pryøsen melody “Sønnavindvalsen” which has made Eriksen very well known in Norway.
