Silent Night

 

Song: Silent Night Artist: Susan Boyle Silent night, holy night, All is calm, all is bright "Silent Night" is a very popular Christmas carol. It is a must-sing song on Christmas Eve mass. According to Wikpedia, the song was first performed on 1818 at St Nicholas parish church in Oberndorf, a village on the Salzach river. The young priest, Father Joseph Mohr, had come to Oberndorf the year before. He had already written the lyrics of the song "Stille Nacht" in 1816 at Mariapfarr(Austria), the hometown of his father in the Salzburg Lungau region, where Joseph had worked as a coadjutor. The melody was composed by Franz Xaver Gruber, schoolmaster and organist in the nearby village of Arnsdorf. Before Christmas Eve, Mohr brought the words to Gruber and asked him to compose a melody and guitar accompaniment for the church service. 谢谢你推荐Bing Crosby的版本，遗憾的是我在网上没有找到。说实在话，Elvis演唱的Silent Night,也不是我理想的版本，只是找不到别的更好的版本，只好将就了。

如有欣赏过 Bing Crosby 演唱的，Elvis'便显得有点儿“油滑。” 当然，俩位歌手解说的 Motif 不同，本人又偏向 Crosby 的宁静，Elvis 自然得一边儿自个玩去了。
