AmyChua的书"BattleHymnofTigerMother"的前奏曲文章"WhyChinesemothersaresuperior"一举打响，书的出版成功将是不可避免的。虽然本人对此人的育女方式极端不齿，但认为她的这一出名之举的后果还是有几分积极的社会意义。
首先，她的书与文章将向西方社会暴露在中国传统文化（孝文华）中一直潜在着的不被大多数中国人察觉和认同的儿童虐待。*

我实在想象不出有什么事比“愚公移山”“铁棒磨成针”这样的事更愚蠢的了。人区别于动物的最大特征就在于思考的功能（感性与理性双方面的），人的生命的自我完成，就在于最大限度地成全这个功能。而把人的一生的智能贡献与某一种单一的工作，使人在有限的生命中无法去成全丰富多彩的智能，这是人对生命的最大浪费。

什么是开放的头脑？我个人的定义是：对客观外界的不以个人经验为标准的判断，并对个人无法理解的但同时又是对他人无害的一切发生现象都加以接受的认知态度。
