Don't cry , Dear Son

Dear Sean,

 

Today, Mrs.Mcmurdo called me said that you've cried for 20 mins cause of Math exam and the reason you cried is Mom and Daddy would blame you badly and Daddy would say you are stupid.  

 

Sean, I am sad when you are sad about your exam result. And I am sad as well when you thought mom and daddy could talk to you in that way. if we ever did so, please forgive us. Mom told you the other day: I would always be with you whenever and whatever you are sad or happy. I am  your pal, your entrusted friend, and we buckled our small fingers for that commitment already, you remember? I believe you have tried your best to prepare your exam, mark is not so important as long as you have right attitude to the exam and school work. You are turning 12 years old next Thursday, the same important milestone as when you will turn 18 years old. That milestone says you are more mature, more responsible to yourself, more independent to make right decision through some helps from Parents and teachers till your another milestone coming—18 years old. If you scared to talk with me and daddy about all your worries and concerns, I will feel sad and afraid that mom and dad may loose a friend and dear son even you are living with us physically.  

 

I am writing to you because I leave you time to think and cry (if you can't help crying again), and then wipe your tears and tell me that you are already ok. And a little advise to you is: try to limit your tears to the minimum and to yourself when you feel like doing so, you will understand when you grow up that tears won't solve any of your problem, I understand you are a sentimental boy, but it's important to know tears become precious and valuable only if your tears are shed for the good will such as touching, sympathism and ( I am proud that you always do so ).  As we are friend, we communicate as a friend. If you can understand what we are trying to help you to be greater person (because you are really a such great boy in many aspect), mom, daddy and all of your teacher will be very joyful.

 

So, please help Mom and daddy doing one thing, after reading this message, wipe the tears, look yourself in the mirror and give yourself a BIG SMILE. We all believe that you will do better in the school.
