讀書筆記 Begin to Live (Fourteen Stories)

I read the article “ Begin to live “, written by Pearl.S.Buck . U.S. Air Force soldier Tim participated in World War II for two years, bombed Germany, and completed 50 missions. After the war, he demobilized home by train with his comrades-in-arms. His fiancee Kit, his parents, younger sister Mary, Mary’s boyfriend Frank and the villagers went to the station to meet him. He lost his left arm in the war. He was used to the military life in the army. The cruelty of war and violence left a shadow in his heart, which made him uneasy when he came home and didn't know how to face his future life and work. He couldn't tell his family about his combat experience. When Frank said he wanted to be a pilot, he couldn't agree. He doesn't know when he will get married, and whether he will continue to work in the electrical company where he used to work with Kit! His father participated in World War I and now runs a law firm. He understood Tim's mood and talked to him from the bottom of his heart. Talking about the bayonets and violence of his war, and how he buried all this in his heart after demobilization, and began to face the reality.  Tim listened to his father and decided to start work and marry Kit immediately. Begin to Live!                        I think it's right to face a new life bravely, but it's not good to bury your experience in your heart without telling others. A person's experience is an important thing in life. You should think about it and tell others in due course. Didn't Tim's father tell Tim about his experience?
