他是中国西安交通大学的校长。

今年3/16 他发表了一次演讲：无论你信仰什么，无论是社会主义还是资本主义，你都不能把你的信仰放在人类文明的核心价值之上，也不能把你个人、党派或阶级的利益放在它之上。如果你这样做了，你肯定会被历史所唾弃。

三天后，他被中共开除，只因为这20秒的演讲。
