You cannot serve two masters. If I am truly your master, you will desire to please me above all others.  If pleasing people is your goal, you will be enslaved to them. People can be harsh taskmasters when you give them this power over you.

If I am the master of your life, I will also be your first love. You serving me is rooted and grounded in my vast unconditional love for you. The lower you bow down before me, the higher I lift you up into intimate relationship with me. The joy of living in my presence outshines all other pleasures. I want you to reflect my joyous light by living in increasing intimacy with me.

你不能事奉两个主人。如果我真的是你的主人，你会渴望在所有人之上取悦我。如果取悦他人是你的目标，你将为他们所奴役。当你将权力交给他人时，人们会成为严厉的奴役者。

如果我是你生命的主宰，我也将成为你的第一爱。你事奉我是建立在我对你浩瀚且无条件的爱的基础上。你在我面前屈膝越低，我就越能将你提升到与我亲密的关系中。与我同在的喜乐超越了一切其他的快乐。我希望你通过与我日益亲密地生活，反照我的喜乐荣光。
