Let all other lights fade away

《雅各书》1：17

1:17

各 样 美 善 的 恩 赐 ， 和 各 样 全 备 的 赏 赐 ， 都 是 从 上 头 来 的 。 从 众 光 之 父 那 里 降 下 来 的 。

 

Once I was blind

Dazzled by the worldly lights

Saved by your amazing grace

Now your lights blossom in my unworthy sight

 

Your lights are brighter than the midday sunlight

Like the one that brought Paul to the ground when he met

When your face shines upon me

The sun fades away like a faint candlelight

 

Your lights are gentler than the midnight moonlight

Like the one from a lighthouse on a tempestuous storm night 

When your face shines upon me

The moon fades away like a sheepish firefly

 

Lord,

Give me a pair of loyal eyes

Help me to turn them upon your lights only

Let all other lights fade away like the morning starlights
