Again PSG player robbed: Donnarumma and girlfriend victim of robbery | Football
Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma was attacked by several men at his home in Paris in the night from Thursday to Friday. Half a million euros worth of items were reportedly stolen.
Donnarumma, 24, was ambushed by the burglars while at home with his girlfriend. They would have been tied up and undressed together, sources explain to the French medium RMC Sport.
Actu17, a French news site about police and justice affairs, knows that the doorman of the building was also tied up. At around 3:20 am, when the robbers had already left, Donnarumma and his partner managed to break free.
They then reported to a nearby hotel, according to the French news agency AFP, after which the staff immediately called the police. Both Donnarumma and his girlfriend are said to be in shock.
It is not yet clear whether the two suffered physical injuries as a result of the robbery. Donnarumma and his girlfriend have been taken to hospital for an examination. The French police have launched an investigation into the perpetrators. Paris Saint-Germain has not yet made a statement.
It is the next incident in a series of robberies at PSG stars. For example, the family of Ángel Di María fell victim to a violent robbery in March 2021. French justice sentenced the perpetrators to prison terms of three and four years.
Simultaneously with the burglary at Di María in March, Marquinhos’ house was also raided. The Brazilian defender’s father was then assaulted by the robbers in the presence of his two granddaughters aged thirteen and sixteen. They would have been locked up for more than half an hour.
Marco Verratti fell victim to a burglary in 2022. Then burglars targeted his holiday home in Ibiza. The damage to the Italian midfielder was considerable: he would have lost about three million euros in jewellery, watches and cash.
