漫步长岛4：薰衣草农场 Lavender By the Bay

看过范德比尔庄园，接着赶路东行。预定了六点的轮渡，迟到玩完。

车子开出不久，渐渐接近长岛尖尖的orient point，路两旁葡萄园一个紧挨一个，不由让人产生错觉，俺们这是在中西部的大道上狂奔吗？



后来上船前遇到一个老太太，来自纽约州乔治湖，这次来参加亲戚们的家族活动，这条路她跑多了，知道从前的样子。老太太说以前大多是农场，现在酒庄居多。为嘛，纽约客的花园酒馆么。

长岛开出了中西部的味道，快马加鞭，很快GPS指示到达目的地。右边的进出口实在不起眼，以致俺们飞快错过入口。打个U-Turn拐进去，里面豁然开朗。对于什么都慢半拍的俺们，看来这次是早了半拍




虽不是全盛期，气场也是杠杠的









养蜂，特理解。前次去本地一个薰衣草农场，正值鼎盛花期，把那些成群结队的小蜜蜂忙得够呛，想插个队在花丛中捏一张，蜜蜂们跟俺抢地盘。





纳闷去过的薰衣草农场都有一个鸡舍，虽然羡慕这群幸福的鸡，待到花花烂漫时，它们丛中叫，非常惬意的鸡生。但也表示不解，于是上网搜，搜来这一段：

有点意思，母鸡下蛋，似乎天经地义，其实也是一份努力一份付出一份收获，它们也会有难度有压力，需要缓解，而薰衣草貌似很得鸡心。
