24天的旅行，每天都很充实和愉快。回来之后他对我说，一般情况下，这么长时间应该会有点想家，奇怪的是他还想继续旅行。整个旅程，平均每天走路20.74公里。晒得脸上长了很多晒斑，他说：So cute。
他的随手记Korea:Took about 1.5 hrs to clear customs and get the wifi deviceTook the express train to seoul station - was assigned seats didn’t realize that.   Was happy to take the express still was 45 minutes more. Had problems buying a card and breaking change Had to get used to transit again, but got it rightGot to the place after 8. Changed course to Myeongdong instead. Super hot in the subway areas, trains had acWent to gong palace after blue bottle coffee, it was too hot to dress up. Was cool especially the queens palace which was open and had furniture. Was machine order at the entrance then they sit you. Was great!Early bedWent to times square the biggest mall in seoul Got hair cut at a fancy place Some places are cash only, some both, some card only. Had ramen which was ok, not amazing like last nightWalked along the river for a few hours Went to the stream to go to the night market which didn’t exist and no one knew that it  existed. But there was a big protest on the water release which was interesting. And a display on the korean war. Was wearing my Canada shirt and got a few thank you’sAt 8:15 almost every  place had the kitchen closing as they close at 9, found a pizza and beer place. Was ok.  It’s super hard to find a place to eat after 8 pm. Went to Yeouido park  had some Internet issues Walked all around Went to bampo park and bridge, finally a night market!  And the water show was on. Saw a silent dj party which was cool!  Japan:The flight was uneventful, no service on the flight Got into the airport and found my wifi device ok. Got tickets on the Narita express to Tokyo station  - 4 times more expensive than in Seoul Trains have assigned seats Got checked in, did some laundry and went to team labsPeople are very curt, and look very annoyed if you ask a question. Very different than Seoul. Sumo - got there earlySushi book - sushi bilingual edition Grouper white fish,swordfish  aka Mekajiki, gizzard shad fry - like a sardine,  boiled octopus, fresh wasabi from mt fuji - made on shark skin,tuna, shrimp custard, snapper sushi, another tuna, shrimp with shrimp eggs and the head is ground on top , jackfish, salmon eggs, eel and kale, japanese scallop (pen shell),  hauti tuna (sp?), squid, barracuda, sea eel, sea urchin, lanpyo roll,miso soup and egg omlette Went to the open bakery sandwich and coffee then odaiba park Tsukiji Fish Market - went a little further than anticipated and it put me in a time crunchTokyo cartsPiss alley - nice to see but super touristy Ichiran ramenGolden Gai sasuki bar - 3 rd floor. Was funny when new people came in and had their backs turned as I came down. Have an announcement for touts in the areaWent to the café teds for amazing cappuccino and latteWent shopping at gu and looked around the mallWent totakahashi ramen, met a couple with no yen just a cc. Offered to buy them lunch bit the ramen has pork in it. In Seoul prices are way cheaper except fashion, health/beauty products and alcohol Up early off to gujoStanding room only - for 2 hrs. Tried to book online but kept getting errors. Could only buy at the station same day tried yesterday.  Final bus was exact change only after I got on. Driver had change but was grumpy about it. Gujo!  Had some amazing fish at daihachi but was expensive Walked around the town. Fish alleyMade fake food lots of funky Gujo Hachiman Beer Kobokobo for beer tasting 郡上豚骨ラーメン カンミナ 郡上八幡店 for ramen. Several places here have flexible close times. NeatWent for a nice night walk, the mosquitoes are tiny mosquitoes, got lots of bites walking around and didn’t even realize it until the morning. You don’t feel the mosquitoes biting you they are 1/4 the size of our mosquitoes. Went to Gujo castle Went for Soba noodles at そばの平甚 本店 郡上八幡の和食ランチ and had some cold sakiYoshinowa for a coffee and chocolate parfait There is a lot of honour system in JapanWent to museum All Japanese tourists hereTook bus and trains to osakaSnoopy is very popular Now right side is escalator slow lane no idea why People are talking on the subway 32 exits at my station and a full mall inside Went to an identical looking building that was a wrong address. Went to Dontonbori area. So huge it’s a 6x6 outdoor covered shopping area. Went to IZAKAYA KITSUNE SHINSAIBASHI イザカヤキツネ 心斎橋 for sashimi. Was excellent home made wasabi. Employees were a little snobby. Off to Minoh falls. Beautiful and a lot like  Johnson’s CanyonVery few hand dryers in Japan Had a snack that had maple leaves inside and were baked with a crunchy coatingWent to the restaurant where you fish your foodFamily mart, lawdons and 7-11 are the stores in JapanOsaka CastleGururi for steak samplerSteak with pistatios on top, salad on top of thick balsamic vinegar and the green balsamic. Then had supper at a seafood restaurant and walked along a bridge. Was a nice night Went to golden waterfall after breakfast in a tea house. The jungle walk was niceWent to try 2 markets then went to SuHang 365 for duck - but the duck is by appointment only Fong da coffee for breakfast. They sell machines and serve coffee.
