Which Designer Could Be Sharing an Office in the White House?
Ivanka Trump, daughter of President-elect Donald Trump, might be sharing an office in the White House. Trump transition aides are already planning for an “office of the first family” in the East Wing, which currently houses the office reserved for the first lady, CNN reports.
It is rumored that footwear designer Ivanka will take on the role of “Washington hostess” in addition to advising Trump on issues such as family leave and climate change. However, Trump spokesperson Hope Hicks maintains that “no decisions have been made regarding Ivanka’s role.”
Ivanka attended a meeting with Silicon Valley technology chiefs Wednesday in New York; major players present included Amazon’s Jeff Bezos, Apple CEO Tim Cook and Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg. Flying the flag for her eponymous shoe label, Ivanka stepped out in a floral pair of the brand’s Katie2 pumps.
This news all comes in the same week that Kanye West paid a visit to Trump Tower to discuss what the rapper called “multicultural issues” such as “bullying, supporting teachers, modernizing curriculums and violence in Chicago.”
“I feel that it is important to have a direct line of communication with our future president if we truly want change,” West said.
