Suepecious of an academic theft steal my idea of Sea Buckthorn

I published a paper in Sea buckthorn in 2011 as the first author and then applied a grant to MB government as a co-applicant. I discussed the idea of anti-diabetic effect of Sea buckthorn with some other professors. To my surprise, these professors applied the similar grant to the same agent and published similar paper. I am suspicious these professors steal my ideas.
