马头凳(horse-head bench)

花了一天的时间，做了一个马头凳。凳的材料是从homedepot买来的spf木头：4x4的木头做马的身体，2x6的板子做3个凳面和马头，腿是2x4的木头。

该凳可以做为换鞋凳放在门厅或者给有小朋友的家里让孩子骑木马玩耍。

 

 

补遗篇：2021年我把此作品英文介绍投稿到我们省的木工协会，在2021年四月号的会刊上的会员的“Show & Tell ”板块发表：

Horse-head bench: This bench was made in the summer of 2019 for kids to play and ride. The bench body was made of 4”X4” cedar and the others are pine.

Four legs and the body are connected through floating tenons with wood glue. The seat tops were fastened to the body with counter-sink screws and flushed wood plugs. Horse-head was connected to the body with floating tenons and reinforced with wood screws.

Dimension: 4ft Long, 12” tall, 9”X9” for three seat tops, 22” for horse-head height.

No finish on this bench and just hand-sanding after construction.
