A book titled "The Five Love Languages: How to Express Heartfelt Commitment to Your Mate" by Dr. Gary Chapman. It helps my wife and me to better understand the relationship between us. Brifely, there are distinct means to show our love. We can't understand others if we do not speak the same languages, even when equiped with the most sincer love. Just imagine what response we might get when we say "I love you" to the ones who have no idea of English. It seems to me that you 2 speak different love languages. What you can do is to learn a foreigh language and communicate with him in that specific language.
