[to eat real food] = [Win, Win for health/wallet]: Choice?

(2024-02-11 19:28:05) 下一个

You think you think, but not you think; you thought you're in control, but not in your control: integrity, honesty, and compassion.

A gate of $11 million leverages a senatorial seat, which triggers a chain reaction: stay informed, theoretically but not practical, as your choice is limited.

The illusion of choice prevails, as emerging neuroscience suggests consciousness itself may be illusory. Our perceived freedom is constrained by narrow 'choices;' free will remains a construct of our emergent consciousness. Interestingly, while raw milk simply sours over time, pasteurized milk can actually rot undetected, underscoring the value of being well-informed and educated.

Do you know what this statement means? "Corrupted by the revolving door"—it's the same in the UK and Europe.

So, you can't stand by the sidelines to watch what happens to you. Why?

Because "As long as the general population is passive, apathetic, diverted to consumerism or hatred of the vulnerable, then the powerful can do as they please, and those who survive will be left to contemplate the outcome." (Noam Chomsky)

This quote by Noam Chomsky essentially means that when people in a society are not actively involved or engaged and instead are focused on things like buying things or hating certain groups of people, those in power can do whatever they want without much resistance. And when they do whatever they want, it's usually not good for everyone, so the people who survive will have to deal with the consequences of their actions.

It is you; it is for you. All are related: me, you, he, she, and they. Don't get too lazy to think, to act, to speak out when in doubt.

Free internet? What cost? For your safety? or controlled information? to sell your choice?

The line you're referring to is often attributed to various Holocaust-related contexts, often paraphrased as:

"When they came for the [group], I did not speak out because I was not a [member of that group]. Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me."

Specifically, "First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—

Because I was not a socialist. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out because I was not a trade unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me."

This quote highlights the dangers of remaining silent in the face of injustice and oppression, emphasizing the importance of speaking out and standing up for the rights of others, regardless of whether their plight directly affects oneself.

Speaking out against injustice and oppression, even when it doesn't directly affect oneself, serves as a powerful reminder of the need for solidarity and standing up for the rights of others, the helpless.

I live in an area where we have a farmers grocery store, it is a year round farmers market under a roof where a single grocery store gathers and sells the products from the local farmers. Raw milk, meat that is butchered, salted, and packaged, milk, eggs, chicken, fruits, and vegetables. I no longer eat potato chips or any processed food. ALL my health problems have gone away; I have lost 20 pounds, and my mental clarity is like it was in my 20's. When you get rid of all the crap food in your diet, you have more money to eat "real" food that is actually healthy for you, so the per-item cost might be higher, but the snacking and crap you used to eat is gone, so your weekly grocery bill is the same or less. Win, Win for your health and wallet.
Although I am old enough to remember family members who contracted polio from drinking raw milk and tuberculosis, which is undeniably another significant risk associated with consuming unpasteurized dairy products, I wholeheartedly agree that corporate lobbyists wield far, far too much power in the US political system. We are not talking here about organisms that could cause transitory GI symptoms; these are life-altering and potentially fatal diseases. Yes, we now have treatment regimens for TB and vaccines for polio, but in a world where people want to have the right to refuse vaccines and the same people who crack on about their right to make those choices are the ones likely to opt for unpasteurized milk, allowing the commercial sale of unpasteurized milk would be very likely to cause a resurgence of those diseases.
