Lauren Rachel Baltimore, the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. David Baltimore of Pasadena, Calif., was married at her parents' house yesterday to Jay John Konopka, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne L. Konopka of Smithtown, N.Y. Judge Shirley M. Hufstedler, who is retired from the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, in San Francisco, officiated.
The bride, 27, is known as TK (pronounced Teak). She operates TKtv.net in New York, a collection of Web sites for television fans. She graduated from Yale. Her father is the president of the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena. He won the Nobel Prize in Medicine in 1975 for his work on virology. Her mother, Dr. Alice S. Huang, is a trustee of Johns Hopkins University, and was until 1997 the dean for science at New York University.
The bridegroom, 31, is an Internet services consultant in New York. He graduated from the Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, N.J. His father retired as a senior research scientist for the aerospace division of Grumman, which was in Bethpage, N.Y.
