How my parents met

After transported to the North by train, dad was sent to an army school for training on how to use electronic devices to communicate, where he met his future brother-in-law who later married the first of my mom’s three younger sisters as the result of my parents’ matchmaking. According to me uncle (who had a very unusual childhood, by the way), dad would dig for letters only from SuZhou and with female’s handwriting, among all the letters flied in from all over the country. My mom, only 13 years old by then, was one of the letter-writers. Obviously her letters were picked up by dad, and the consequences were dad and mom became pen pals, close friends, and husband and wife seven years later.
