Scientific Writing (I): Tenses
1) Your new results should be described in your paper in the past tense (although you have done the experiments, but the results are not yet accepted as “facts”).
2) The results from previously published papers should be described in the present tense (assuming that published results are “facts”).
3) Only experiments that you plan to do should be described in the future tense.
