There are a very few summers that I could remember
The one I was about 9 years old
the one I was begging to go at the Station that my uncle ended up paying for
the one we took a long journey from Nanjing to Xiamen
trying to attend my grandpa's funeral
2 day ride of train to Fuzhou
which was hotter than Nanjing, the famous stove
no salt dishes of Fuzhou
The mid 70s Xiamen
scattered with vegetables leaves
that was told later that my Aunty's family
actually live on picking from
The summer trip to Yellow Mountain
in a high school summer camp
the incredible sun rise that we got up at 2am to wait for
the fluffy cloud right at your waist line
the Buddha ring of light with myself
projected at the center in the sky
the military grade compressed cookies
The summer after my classmates helped me pack the staff from house into cargo container
we rode to Zijing Mountain at night
saw a fluorescent river of millions of fire flies
floating along the side of the passage in the forest
the scene that couldn't quite reproduce itself
