I also received email reply from the Consulate today. They said the same thing. I was so relieved, at least the problem is fixable. However, my mom lives in Taiyuan, Shanxi province, she just flew back home from Guongzhou. Does she have to go back there personaly? Can she ask a friend who lives in Guongzhou to do it for her via mail or is there an agency that would help for a fee? Thanks again!
